Argument / Reasons

Reasons- the reasons the writer gives are the first line of development of an argument. They determine wether or not certain reasons are relevant to the claim or not.

Ex.- Smoking is bad for you.

Reasons- Smoking can lead to cancer and other harmful effects while also hurting those around you.

Relevence- Its good to know about a healthy lifestyle in order to live a healthier life.

Effectiveness- It states a well known health issue.
